April 16, 2009 By jennifer

Extreme weather is hampering attempts by a team of three British explorers to examine the effects of climate change on Arctic sea ice around the north pole… the extreme weather, even by Arctic standards, has affected much of the team’s standard kit. Aye it’s been bloody cold this winter in eastern NU but I wouldn’t put too much stock in that pantomime masquerading as science and all their equipment failures. It’s just all part of the requisite “hardships” and privations the crew have to include in the reports back home. The “schtick” is by now familiar and I’m still surprised there’s still such mileage in this curious phenomenon of leftover Arctic Victoriana but I guess it still flogs a few papers and mutual funds in the UK.
