The big oil companies greed proved to be their undoing. No amount of funny money pushed into the center of the table was going to save the Republicans. They must have forgotten that Americans vote with their pocket books. Slamming consumers with outrageous energy prices was the beginning of the end for big oil. They refused to lift a finger to aid the ailing US economy. They have lied and tried unsuccessfully to buy the election but to the credit of the American people’s credit, they turned their misfortune into a positive. Now, truly having extracted the two oil men from the white-house, it will be a new day for renewable energy. The up side is that the market will employee 5 million plus. Strengthen the US by diluting petrol dollars going to governments like Russia and Venezuela and Iran. The idea that we could sustain the economy by sending 700 billion to these corrupt governments was insane. The Chinese were fed up with Americans going back and trying to borrow more money again and again. Policy was not changing instead big oil removed any talk of moving this great country into the future instead choosing to drive the economy to the brink of total collapse. These are evil men who have brought an evil chapter in US history. The movie “W” made it all too apparent what the Iraq was really an affirmation of a resource war. We were lied to by our own government and we have all paid the price. The sad thing is that thousands have paid the ultimate price.
On the up side, our children and grandchildren can look forward to a robust economy. Air that is clean clean and crisp and water that is drinkable. Rivers of water instead of industrial waste and sludge. I want to at last thank the American people for standing up to these thugs in suits. A glimmer of hope has shown through not only in this great country but countries around the world. Thank you America!

‘clean energy’ and ‘clean coal’ will both help to reduce our emissions :-).

You really need to get your facts sorted out – the biggest oil companies are the government owned ones which control 96% of the world’s oil production.
