Reagan warned Europe about feeding the Russian energy bear — They didn’t listen.
Can the OZ and American farmers understand the reluctance of Europe to give up the subsidised agricultural sector?
At least they learned the lesson not to rely on imported food after the war.
Pity they missed the same lesson re. energy.
Isn’t social democracy wonderful.
The cold in Europe is due to a high pressure ares over its central part. This cold is compensated by the warmer than usual conditions in the Scandinavian and North Atlantic area where a low pressure area is dominating. It says nothing about any possible NH cooling. Imagine that is would forebode the conditions that are prevalent in a cooler world; we would all be longing back for the good old days of global warming.

Reagan should have warned us Europeans about Ukraina and its bad manners as a gas transit country. We have had a similar dispute in 2006 and Ukraina siphoning away gas meant for EU, but no-one even slapped Ukraininans on a wrist. So, apparently this time Russians decided to handle. It’s really lamentable, that the victims of the situation were the Balkan countries that are friendly to Russia…
