Looks like the stinkbugs we get plenty of in Greece. They are green if on leafy trees and brown if on trunks. I do not know if they are the same species changing color according to habitat, but they stink the same.
They also come buzzing to porch lights at night.
I have not seen a multicolored one like the one in your picture.
Well, the scientific name in Swedish for this kind of a bug is roughly translated ” a berry fart”
Neil, never come across that stinker.
We have the orange stinker on the citrus trees and the harlequin stinker on the cottonwoods.
